Take Your Top Off for Tatas is a charity off road event in support of the Breast Health Clinic at the Royal Inland Hospital right here in Kamloops, BC. July 5, 2020 marks the 8th annual event and our second year supporting the clinic. Over first 5 years we raised and donated over $20,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation BC/Yukon Division, and over the last 2 years an additional $9000 for the Rae Fawcett Breast Health Clinic at the Royal Inland Hospital.
Every July we get together and take the Tops off our Jeeps to help raise awareness and funds. The event consists of a pancake breakfast followed by two trail rides (an easy leisurely one, and one that’s a little more technical) then a BBQ lunch and silent auction. The event is open to all fully-insured (we do have a few hwy portions so you must be street legal) off-road vehicles.
An event like this takes an amazing team of people working tirelessly behind the scenes to pull to it all together. We are lucky to have that kind of team and support from our sponsors and our participants. A few huge thank you’s go out to the local team at the 4WD Association of BC who have taken over scouting and leading our technical trail ride, the team at Rivershore Ram who have been behind the event since day one and who sponsored our clothing line and have given us somewhere to host the event and finally the team at the Barnhartvale Community Association who took a chance on our crazy idea.
We would like to extend a huge Thank You to Ray and Brenda Thompson our 2018 and 2019 Trail Sponsors! Its because of amazing people like you that our event goes on.
